RIVER NILE PHOTO EXHIBITION

After 9 weeks of workshops with Eze and Pip, students from the River Nile Learning Centre exhibited a series of their photographs and poetic words for THE BIG WEST FEST.
The show ran from the 21st -26th November 2009, and for some, this was the first time they had exhibited any photographic works to the public.
We all extend are warmest thanks and congratulations to the students who achieved many firsts during the total 12 week program, and we hope they will remember the good times had by all.

Workshop 5: Wednesday 21st October 2009

This week we took portraits of each other at the Footscray Community Arts Centre. We learnt how a portrait can tell a story about someone's personality. It's a representation of one's character...who they are. Some portraits have big stories behind them. Next week we'll be adding text to our portraits and other photos. An amazing week! Well done everyone!
